8x10" glossy showing 29 team members in uniform with name list at bottom of photo. Honus Wagner, listed as coach, is shown in uniform at far right side of third row. Players of note include Vic Lombardi, HOF'er Ralph Kiner, and Dixie Walker. The Pirates finished fourth in the NL in 1947, winning 83 games and losing 71. Others include - Levy, Bockman, Johnny Riddle, Murtaugh, Rojek, Meyer, Hopp, Queen, Elmer Riddle, Westlake, West, Wilson, Lombardi, Fitzgerald, Stevens, Kiner, Gustine, Walker, Higbe, Singleton, Ostermueller, Bonham, Chesnes, Main, Gregg and Kluttz. Photo has lt. handling creases, mostly just visible in reflected light. Overall glossy and Fine. Nice sharp image. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
