Item Description
3.5x4-5/8" glossy photo shows all three in Newark Bears uniforms on field with two holding gloves and one holding ball. Bottom of photo is boldly signed in fountain pen ink by John Haley, Bennie Bengough and Xavier Recigno. A few lt. hairlines just visible in reflected light at top, o/w VF with Exc. signatures. Haley was in the Minor Leagues from 1934 to 1946 and played with Newark in 1938-1939, Rescigno was in the Minor Leagues from 1935 to 1951 and played with Newark in 1938. The team was in the International League and were affiliated with the New York Yankees from 1930 onward. They finished in first place in 1937 and 1938. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
