Item Description
4x6" matte finish photo with closeup image of Poffensberger in Dodgers uniform has nice fountain pen signature in center. Reverse side of photo has photographer ink stamp "Geo. Burke" with Chicago address. Exc. Poffensberger played in the Major Leagues between 1937 and 1939 and was with the Detroit Tigers most of his career, having his last appearance with the Dodgers on May 21, 1939. He had a win-loss record of 16-12 and an era of 4.75 including 65 strikeouts. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
