Item Description
4x5-7/8" matte finish photo shows Mungo in Dodgers uniform holding the ball on sidelines of field. Photo is signed at bottom in ballpoint pen "Van Lingle Mungo" and reverse side has ink stamp of photographer Geo. Burke with Chicago address. Barely noticeable tiny corner tip wear. VF. Van Lingle pitched for the Dodgers between 1931 and 1941 and went on to play with the New York Giants during World War II. He was a four time All-Star selection and had a win-loss record of 120-115 with an era of 3.47 including 1,242 strikeouts. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and  JSA COA.
