3.5x5.5" postmarked "Apr 15 1920 Spring Valley Ill." Front has nice photo of manager in suit and ten member black baseball team in uniforms lined up in front of bleachers. Reverse side has printed text from manager Robt. P. Gilkerson including "Would Like To Arrange To Play You A Game Or A Series Of Games In Your Town. If You Can Play Us Answer At Once As I Have To Keep The Team Playing Every Day." Address area has printed text "Manager Base Ball Club" w/hand-inked town "Bode, Iowa." Top corner tips missing tiny pieces, trace of lt. dust soil. No creases. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
