Item Description
Original illustrated box contains 9.5" long hard plastic futuristic boat w/built-in key for wind-up motor that drives working propeller. Unmarked but made in England (likely by J. & L. Randall Ltd./Merit) w/permission of Eagle Comics, the publisher of the British Dan Dare sci-fi stories. 1950s. Box shows moderate wear w/.25" corner tip off and scattered aging and edge/corner tip wear. VG. Toy is weighted for use in water and metal rudder has some oxidation. Futuristic turret on ship's prow, antenna by seats and attached 3.5" long "Captain Video" hard plastic space vehicle have been repurposed from the Captain Video sets of the day but this is as intended as it is depicted on box. Boat and attached pieces came in a variety of colors and this boat is red/white color variety. Scattered lt. wear but VF/Exc. overall. First we've offered.
