Item Description
11x13-7/8" cardboard has six 2.75x4.5" vintage photos mounted and signed in ink, each showing member of the 1938 Boston Bees baseball team. 1938 Boston Bees record was 77-75, finishing fifth in the National League. This team only existed in this form for a short period, 1936-1940. Each photo has been signed in black ink w/additional "B-B-1" sequentially numbered through "B-B-6" notations under photos. Those depicted in photos and who have signed include - Casey Stengel (who has added "Mgr." manager notation), Debs Garms, Gil English (who has added "3rd Base" position notation), Vince DiMaggio (who has added "Centerfielder" position notation), coach George L. "High Pockets" Kelly and Max West (who has added "Left Field" position notation). Photos are lightly aged w/some minor age spotting, but are VF-Exc. overall. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
