Auction #208 - Part II
Item numbers 1278 through 3040 in auction 208
Item Description
Large and impressive first edition 26x37" lithograph on heavy archival cardstock featuring eerie futuristic design by noted Swiss surrealist painter, sculptor, and set designer. Giger was part of the special effects team that won an Academy Award for Best Achievement for Visual Effects for their design work on the 1979 film "Alien." This lithograph features his "Future Kill" artwork, which was used for the movie poster for a 1985 low-budget comedy sci-fi/horror film of the same name about a group of frat boys who are hunted in a futuristic city by mutants. The film was directed by Ronald W. Moore, and starred Edwin Neal, Marilyn Burns, and Gabriel Folse. This is the only movie poster that Giger has done. Hand-numbered in silver pencil at lower left, this is 963/1,000 and has been signed by Giger at lower right corner. Lithograph has some handling wear w/some scattered creases and margin wear. Fine/VF. Area Giger has signed remains Exc. Hard to come by lithograph.
