6.5x8.25x2.25" deep window box contains 5.25" tall die-cast gorilla Arkron Space Robot by Ark Co. Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan. Distributed by Marukay Trading Co. c. 1978. King Kong-like character toy features pair of spring-loaded knives on chest. An included punch-out cardboard plane (unused but w/some loose perforations) could be launched from its torso and toy comes w/interchangeable parts for use w/other robot toys in this line. This toy was released in the US under the name "Mech-Gorilla" to avoid licensing fees. Box shows obvious wear w/corner tip color rubs and creases by window. Box is Fine overall w/NM contents.
