Wood frame w/glass has archival mat w/7.25x10.75” opening w/classic image c. 1935 of Pat, Terry, and Connie w/three hand lettered word balloons “Hello Hal Armstrong”. Signed by creator in ink at lower right. “With My Very Best Wishes Milton Caniff”. Print has lt. age toning. Fine, but nice for display as framed. c. 1940s button is 2" with portrait of comic strip character Steve Canyon w/his name and “P.I.” which stands for Post Intelligencer newspaper. Metal back with bar pin. Obvious foxing, but bright, glossy, and VG. Rare. We’ve only offered about six in our 48 years. Historical early pair of promo items by the artist recognized as “The Rembrandt Of The Comic Strip”.
