Item Description
5x8" glossy portrait photo image of Kid Chocolate w/nice black ink inscription in Spanish signed w/his fighting name "Kid Chocolate." Studio text at bottom also has "Kid Chocolate" fighting name and his real name (Eligio Sardinas). Photo also has New York photographer's studio mark. Photo has corner tip wear and scattered staining at lower left corner. Fine overall. Fantastic image w/bold inscription/signature. Kid Chocolate was Junior Lightweight Champion from 1931-1933 and the NY World Featherweight Champion from 1932 to 1934. He won a total of 131 bouts, losing nine and six draws. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
