Item Description
9.5x11.5" thin board w/fully painted art which is signed at bottom center "Jorge S." Wonderful "split" images, at left is Estalella batting for the Havana Lions and at right is Oms fielding for the Santa Clara Leopards. At top are player's names and title which makes reference to Estalella's nickname "Tarzan" and the fact that Oms ran down his 500 foot drive. Detailed backgrounds include spectators. Exc. Estalella played in the Major Leagues from 1935 to 1949 for the Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Athletics. Oms was a Cuban center fielder in Negro League baseball and Latin American baseball, most notably with the Cuban Stars (East). Oms played winter ball in the Cuban League from 1922 to 1946. Both players are in the Cuban Baseball HOF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
