Item Description
Lot of four 11x17" thin Topps Comics artboards w/original pen and ink art by popular comic book artist Charlie Adlard, best known for his work on the hit comic book series "The Walking Dead." Offered here are four pages of Adlard's art from another TV-based comic book series, Topps' "X-Files" Annual #1, published in Aug., 1995. Top of artboards have handwritten title/issue number/page number as well as Adlard's name. Offered here are pages 2, 14, 19 and 43 from issue written by Stefan Petrucha titled "Hallow Eve." First artboard shows man exploring shadowed African dig site. This has acetate overlay on top half w/paste-over text block. Second artboard shows man and woman infiltrating what appears to be the J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building dressed as janitors. Third artboard shows Scully hiding from two Men in Black and large panel w/energy being absorbing town's energy. Last artboard shows person in insane asylum regurgitating item. Each artboard has been signed in gold felt tip pen by Adlard. Scattered lt. margin/corner tip wear. VF overall w/Exc. art.
