Item Description
6x8" original matte finish photo from the 1940s. Great image of William Walker Cash, nicknamed "Ready", wearing full catchers gear and squatting behind home plate. Revers has photographers ink stamp "Photo By Hooper." Signed at lower right in steel-tip fountain pen "With Best Wishes Bill Cash." Aging and wear to margins and reverse. Trace of a margin trim. Image and signature remain unaffected. VG. A nice vintage signed piece. Cash played for the Philadelphia Stars from 1943 to 1950 and was a member of two Negro League All-Star teams. Richard Merkin Collection and comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
