Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard postmarked April 28, 1951 with a young Richard Merkin's address on the obverse and the signature of Billy Cox in ink on the reverse. Billy Cox played in MLB for several teams including the Pittsburgh Pirates (1941, 1946-47), the Brooklyn Dodgers (1948-54), and the Baltimore Orioles (1955). He played for a Dodger infield that included Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, and Gil Hodges. The postcard has scattered light wear and aging. VF-Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
