Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard with a postmark of Sept. 2, 1952. The card has a ink stamp of a young Richard Merkin's address on the obverse and a signature of Willie Jones in ink on the reverse. Willie Jones was a MLB player for the Philadelphia Phillies (1947-59), the Cleveland Indians (1959), and the Cincinnati Reds (1959-61). He was a two time All-Star (1950 & 1951) and part of the "Whiz Kids" of the 1951 NL champion Phillies. This postcard shows scattered light wear and aging. VF/Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
