Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard postmarked July 2, 1952. The obverse is stamped with a young Richard Merkin's name and address and the reverse is signed by Steve O'Neill in ink. Steve O'Neill was a MLB player for the Cleveland Indians (1911-23). Detroit Tigers (1924) , Boston Red Sox (1925) , and St. Louis Browns (1927-28). He also managed the Cleveland Indians (1935-37), Detroit Tigers (1943-48), Boston Red Sox (1950-51), and Philadelphia Phillies (1952-54). He won the World Series as a player in 1920 and as a manager in 1945. The postcard has scattered light wear and aging. VF-Exc.
