Item Description
Pair of original art prototypes for late 1950s premium proposal that turned into Nabisco's Tobor Robot premium. 6-3/8x12-3/8" artboard w/mixed media original art prototype for shelf talker sign features image of the "Man From Mars" w/hand-lettered text noting "Self-Propelled" (though most of the paint for this text has flaked off) and "One Inside Every Package Wheaties." Additional text block w/text about others in this proposed series is illegible as majority of paint has flaked off. Pinholes at corners w/moderate scattered aging and some moisture staining along right third of artboard. Rusted staple at top margin. VG. 3.25x4.5" sheet of stiff paper has similar original art for use as front panel on cereal box. Text block w/hand-lettered text includes "Six Different 'Martians' In The Series - Get Them All!" Some lt. aging but VF/Exc. overall. Both are unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
