3-5/8x6.5" first day cover envelope for Lou Gehrig "'The Iron Horse'" has been signed in blue felt tip pen by Buck Leonard (1907-1997), a Negro League player and Baseball HOF member who played for the Homestead Grays 1935-1950. Leonard also played in the Mexican League. FDC has metallic gold imprint and has been postmarked Cooperstown, NY June 10, 1989. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
