Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard has inked name/address and blank opposite has been signed in blue ink by Baseball HOF member Lou Boudreau (1917-2001), who played for 15 seasons, primarily as a shortstop on the Cleveland Indians, and managed four teams for 15 seasons including 10 seasons as a player-manager. An All-Star for seven seasons, Boudreau won the AL MVP Award in 1948 and managed the Cleveland Indians to the World Series title. He was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1970. Boudreau has added "Best Wishes" inscription above his signature. Postcard has  Aug. 12, 1947 Cleveland, OH postmark. Card has lt., even aging and shows obvious handling wear. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
