Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard has inked name/address from a young Richard Merkin. Blank opposite has been signed in blue ink by Baseball HOF member Al López (1908-2005), who played for the Brooklyn Robins/Dodgers, Boston Bees, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Indians between 1928 and 1947, and was the manager for the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox from 1951 to 1965 and during portions of the 1968 and 1969 seasons. He was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1977. Postcard has  Aug. 28, 1952 Detroit, MI postmark. Card has lt., even aging and corner tip wear/foxing. Fine/VF overall. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
