Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard has inked name/address while blank opposite has been signed in black ink by Baseball HOF member Luke Appling (1907-1991), who played his entire career for the Chicago White Sox (1930-1950). He was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1964. Appling has added "Best Wishes" inscription above his signature. Postcard has May 14, 1948 Cleveland, OH postmark. Card has lt., even aging and some lt. handling wear. VF/Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
