Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard has inked name/address while blank opposite has been signed in black ink by Baseball HOF member George Kell (1922-2009), who played 15 seasons for the Philadelphia Athletics (1943-1946), Detroit Tigers (1947-1952), Boston Red Sox (1952-1954), Chicago White Sox (1954-1956) and Baltimore Orioles (1956-1957). Kell went on to become a Detroit Tigers broadcaster for 37 years. He was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1983. Postcard has Sept. 6, 1947 Detroit, MI postmark. Card has lt., even aging and scattered handling wear. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
