Item Description
3.25x5.5" generic postcard has inked name/address and blank opposite has been signed in blue ink by Baseball HOF member Enos Slaughter (1916-2002), who played for 19 seasons on four MLB teams from 1938-1942 and 1946-1959. He is noted primarily for his playing for the St. Louis Cardinals and is best known for scoring the winning run in Game 7 of the 1946 World Series. A ten-time All-Star, he was elected to the HOF in 1985. Slaughter has added "Best Wishes" inscription above his name and noted "St. Louis Cardinals" below. Postcard has May 19, 1948 New York, NY postmark. Card has lt., even aging w/lt. wear to one corner tip. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
