Strip deals with Mutt & Jeff running for president, seeing campaign buttons with their portraits on passerbys. They decide to see who is the more popular candidate based on how many buttons they see. Second and third panel show men walking by with Jeff buttons, 4th panel shows stereotypical Chinaman wearing Mutt button, which Jeff finds humorous. Strip ends with Jeff on the ground, stars over his head, his hat broken over his head by Mutt and text "For A Guy Who Aspires To Become President I'll Say Your Conduct Is Very Passé!" Last panel is signed by Fisher. Pen and ink. Fourth panel has 1923 H.C. Fisher copyright paste-over.
