8.5x11" spiral bound calendar ©1948 The Chicago Tribune.  Calendar has full color specialty art on each page devoted to single character.  Months, titles and inscriptions in ballpoint pen are Feb - Little Orphan Annie "To Bayley From Harold Gray," Apr - Penny "Harry Haenigsen," May - The Gumps "For Bayley!  Gus Edson," Jun - Nancy "To Bayley-Ernie Bushmiller," Jul - Smokey Stover "Bill Holman," Sep - Smitty "To Bayley!  From Berndt," Oct - Terry and the Pirates "To Bayley George Wunder," with additional inscription from his wife at upper left "Ha Ha I Got Here First N. Wunder."  Calendar is missing page for March.  Backcover is loose from spiral binding in a few places and has lt. creases and a few tiny tears along bottom edge.  Covers have lt. dust soil.  VG.  Inside pages VF/Exc.  Truly special and possibly unique.  Wonderful graphics with some scarce autographs.  From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
