Item Description
3.75x5.5" government postcard with typewritten address of Richard Merkin postmarked New York, NY, July 20, 1952 has bold fountain pen signature on reverse. Card has some dust soil and lt. handling wear. Herman C. Merkin name on front is crossed out in lead pencil and replaced with typewritten name of Richard Merkin. Overall Fine. Brideweser played with the New York Yankees 1951-1953 including the year this card was signed, the Baltimore Orioles in 1954 and 1957, Chicago White Sox 1955-1956 and the Detroit Tigers in 1956. He played a total of 51 games with the Yankees which included a .327 batting average in 49 at bats. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
