Item Description
3.25x5.5" government postcard postmarked April 19, 1951 has been hand-addressed in ink by young Richard Merkin with his Brooklyn, NY address on front and nicely signed in fountain pen ink on back "Best Wishes Pee Wee Reese." Lt. handling wear with trace of lt. dust soil and surface paper rub at left side edge of back. Fine with Exc. autograph area. Reese was one of the top short stops in baseball history, playing with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers between 1940 and 1958. He was a ten-time All-Star, contributing to seven NL championships for the Dodgers and was inducted into the Baseball HOF in 1984. His Los Angeles Dodgers No. 1 was retired. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
