Item Description
7-7/8x10" matte finish photo shows Kelly in Boston uniform standing in dugout next to Mike Kelly. Photo is signed in knee area of Kelly's uniform in ballpoint pen "George L. Kelly" and he has also signed the reverse side of the photo in ballpoint pen "Mike Kelly George L. Kelly Boston 1941." Reverse side also has ink stamp "From The Estate Of George L. 'Highpockets' Kelly." Kelly's former teammate Casey Stengel hired Kelly to coach the Boston Braves from 1938 to 1943. He was inducted into the Baseball HOF in 1973. A nice quality vintage photo. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
