Item Description
8x10" glossy showing Campbell in his Chicago Cubs uniform and signed in fountain pen ink at lower left "Gilly Campbell." Reverse side has ink stamp "From The Estate Of George L. 'Highpockets' Kelly." Lt. handling wear, mostly just visible in reflected light, tiny creases at extreme corner tips with tiny piece gone at upper right corner tip. Overall Fine. William Gilthorpe Campbell played in the Major Leagues between 1933 and 1938. He was with the Chicago Cubs in 1933, the Cincinnati Reds 1935-1937, and the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1938. His career stats include five home runs, 186 hits and a career average of .263. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
