c. early 1930s thin art board has 6x10.25” India ink image area w/nine different sports scenes. Includes: baseball, boxing, bicycling, golfing, wrestling, football, track, ice hockey. Center has hand inked text “Wishing You A Real Old Fashioned Merry Christmas And A Happy Prosperous New Year”. Signed in ink “Lank Leonard” at lower right. Comes w/4.5x5-3/8” printed Christmas card c. 1950s w/”Mickey Finn” character Uncle Phil dressed as Santa Claus resting in chair pointing to above greeting. Reverse side has hand inked greeting signed “Sincerely, Lank”. Blank margin edges have minor age toning, images areas are Exc. Syndicated by McNaught, the “Mickey Finn” comic strip ran from 1936 to 1976. Nice examples to frame together.
